CONTRAST of PERCEPTIONS
We think of our freshly washed, waxed and polished car or truck as a spotless beauty. But there are those who look at such a clean surface as nothing more than a unused blank surface, much like an artists' canvas. . .it is all in the way we perceive the things around us.

Brilliant! I'm laughing so hard here. Those birds certainly look as though they're waiting to 'paint'. Got to love the sound effects that go with it. Great post, John! Well worth waiting for : )
ReplyDeleteOh, those ever deadly pigeons. I got bombarded by one a few years ago. Not a pleasant experience. I'm generally a bird lover, but have no love of pigeons. Rats with wings. Love the sound affects. Too funny!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun & great post, it makes you think too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! What a GREAT entry. I ALWAYS loved Gary Larson. He's definitely my favorite cartoonist. And I loved this entry. I think this one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteyoure like me ..taking dangerous drive by shots...lol! Love the pic!
ReplyDeleterofl..i love it!!! great shot!
ReplyDeleteLOL... now that is the most creative interpretation i've seen yet.. great take!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know I am fascinated by watching bird fly in a flock...how they twist and turn in unity. Then they usually fly overhead and decorate my car....
ReplyDeleteThe magic of the moment is then lost@!
I like your take on this week's theme. I also like your picture.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Ya did a great job John!! Love your take on this. Nice picture also, Good sound effects. Cool!
ReplyDeleteBy the way.. I see the overhead street sign Sonoma Ave. Kinda wondering if thats in Sonoma Cal.?
LOL you are too hilarious, John! I always love your entries! And that Far Side Cartoon is one of my favorites! :)~ Very creative take on the theme!

ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahahahahahaha.... An alternative perspective is always interesting! Well they say its good luck if those birdies hit their mark!
ReplyDeleteLOL I love it. And it's so true.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!!! hehehehe! I also love the background pic (pooping on people in 12 easy lessons!!) That's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteYour picture reminds me of a line that crosses over the interstate that I drive under to get home every day. There are always birds lined up there...just waiting for the perfect victim...hehe!
I love the addition of the Gary Larson "Far Side" cartoon. I know from living around beaches, and just in California in general, exactly what the SeaChickens are seeing when they are looking at us. You hit it on the head....as have many of those birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat take John! :) Funny and a good shot too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!! I love the cartoon as well...
ReplyDeleteImagine what would happen if cows had wings!!! I loved your little touch of humour!

This is truly creative...
ReplyDeleteThats a brilliant interpretation .. love it!!
ReplyDeleteI knew it! I should have gotten the clue from your background! You see, many people down here go everywhere with umbrella and use it even if it's a sunny day since they don't want to have a darker skin... (I know - it's the contrary - up there people want tan - down here people want fair skin).
ReplyDeleteI used to say this to them: 'HUH?' Now though, after seeing the hint of how birds see me, maybe that's not such a bad habit after all...
Thanks for the laugh, John!
Yes, that's for sure a contrast. There are so interesting takes on this theme, and yours was a surprise :)
ReplyDeleteGood one, John!! I liked it.

ReplyDeleteROFLMBO!!!!!! The music is great with the targets!!!! Also makes me think of those birds that dive bomb into the ocean!!!
ReplyDeleteI see that the birds in the picture are as ready as the ones in the cartoon!!!! This is great, John!!!
Yes, our perception can make all the difference in the world ~ so agree!!
;Yesss its all in the pereception of things...a great photo...Love the soundtrack and I just love how birds see the world...It was great and gave me many chuckles....hugs xo
ReplyDeletehaha! Too funny! I will never walk outside without looking up first again!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! I wondered where the heck you were going here, then had to think about it. What a great way of looking at the world.

ReplyDeleteThis is very clever. I love it.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I always love to see your entries! You have such a unique perspective on things!
ReplyDeleteToo funny... I am a firm beleiver that birds just sit and wait for that fresh wash on a car!
ReplyDeleteVery humorous entry. LMAO!! I so needed that. Great shot & I LOVE the sound effects. BTW - Thanks for stopping by, glad you enjoyed my pic too.
ReplyDeleteWhat you have pointed out was very good.
ReplyDeleteI actually expected you to say (if I'm not wrong) that althought the light was red nobody cared for that and carry on going.
LOL, very good entry! The photo, tekst, cartoon and the sound effect!
ReplyDeletelol! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhen browsing through the rest of your site I saw your background picture more clearly..., very funny!

ReplyDeleteHei John
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Brilliant entry.
Keep so well. Have a great week. Rii :)
Thanks ever so much for the fine comment of yours on my entry.
OMG This is so funny! A friend of mine actually had a bald eagle bomb his car once! LOL He said that he thought someone had threw a gallon of white paint on his windshield!
ReplyDeleteI do believe you are referring to POOP are you not? LOL
ReplyDeleteAs always, one of the most creative and thought provoking, smile provoking entries John!!! I love it. Does this mean we should just leave our cars dirty????
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot!!!!
I just love your perspective... You spend alot of time with the birds don't you... Just wonderin, do you sit up in the trees with them to get their perspective on things.. This is really great. sorry so late commenting, Paul was home and we spent our time with the boy... Hugs my friend.
ReplyDeleteLOL What is funny is some of the birds look like they are looking down at the cars and it makes me think that they are trying to figure out which one they want to aim for and hit. LOL
ReplyDeleteTook me forever to get around to here, but so worth it! Reminds me of that old Farside cartoon, where pigeons see the world as nothing but targets...
