The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. How many times had we heard that in geometry class over our school years. But the true beauty of lines is when Mother Nature lets them loose, to meander, and find their own ways.
Picture taken at Moss Landing Harbor, the camera was a Kodak EasyShare Z612.

Great shot John and so true the beauty is always best when left to unfurl.
ReplyDeleteWow that is awesome !!!
ReplyDeleteNothing more beautiful than mother nature and all her subjects
ReplyDeleteJohn is this an aquarium?
ReplyDeleteI took these (background shot too) at the Moss Landing Harbor a month or so ago. I was taking shots of the sea lions that had take over a mooring platform from an walkway overlook, and below me was a lone jellyfish that was right belows the surface. I used the Telephoto lens, and was pleasantly surprised the way they came out.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! And a fine take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit.

Nature's lines are perfect and never boring, never the same. Great photo, John!
ReplyDeleteditto wonderfull shot , they look so alien to me but then perhaps because this type of animal is mimicked on shows like star trek as either space stations or alien creatures.

There is something almost hypnotic about watching jellyfish floating on the currents.
ReplyDeletehttp://karen21445.multiply.com/journal/item/310/Picture_Perfect_-_LINES
Nature has the most beautiful lines... Besides, sometimes the shortest distance isn't the most fun!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!!!! Was so surprised how well you could see it for one that wasn't taken in an aquarium!!
Great idea for the lines theme John! Curve lines in (space) water
ReplyDeleteMy idea is SQUARE EGGS
BTW - a good blogging idea for bloggers with lots of pictures
