The Politicians are telling us it will be hard, to be prepared for difficulties, to be ready for stress, to have to stretch, no whining or moaning, just grit our teeth and take it. Easy for them to say!!!
Federal workers prepare the Suppository Model 2A, Taxpayer, Federal, Oversight Commitee, 2008.
Each Taxpayer is to be issued one Suppository Model 2A; their share of the 750 Billion plus Bail Out. Congress approved, also comes with a 5,486 page instruction booklet, written and approved by Congressional Commitee, titled "We're Only Here To Help". Unindentified but reliable sources say the Suppository Model 2B is already being worked on. The unidentifed sourse said: "It is not better, but it is bigger!!"
Just in case the large picture (through photobucket) does not show up for some of you.
All I can say is that I need a second job. AND......my furnace is staying as low as possible this winter. Groceries? Pfffftt......pasta and sauce and canned veggies. I am learning to like it.
ReplyDelete~~~the poor bailing out the rich~~~
it's a tough pill to swallow, but if those big companies go under, can you imagine the numbers of unemployed, and the higher taxes that would be levied to pay the unemployment... then the financial devastation, when after 6 months, those newly unemployed still don't have work? there are no easy answers, and certainly, we can't make the masses happy regardless of what solution is chosen...
ReplyDeleteWe are only just beginning to see the tip of the bomb/iceberg!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone is planning for doom and gloom. Why not plan for a change? I still see the shopping malls full, the restaurants still have waiting lines and the fast food lines are rediculous. Cars are still jammed on the highways during rush hour, with only one person in those cars. Homes of 3 have huge trashcans overflowing with trash. We will keep going down until people wake up.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked pasta and canned veggies. I recycle and waste little. Drive only when I have another person in the car or am doing multiple errands. This is not new to me, I have lived this way for years. It is about time that others started as well.
Explains to me the "how" behind the saying, "The rich get richer & the poor get poorer."
ReplyDeleteThe rich can make a mistake & the poor will bail them out..... BUT who bails out the poor????? LOL
You don't have to be rich to enjoy this life.... but what a struggle it is for many to make ends meet now. I make a tank of gas last me two to three weeks... ( that means giving up places I want to go exactly when I would like to go.... but when it cost over $50.00 to fill the tank of even a small car....)
Larry was saying only the other night that the media is certainly hyping this all up. But this is sooooo funny.
ReplyDeleteI think what has happened is a good thing really. Every now and then everyone needs to be brought back to reality but the darn government should stay right out of it.
