SUMMERTIME FUN -- A PICTURE PERFECT THEME

So many things to chose from!!  Being on the coast I took the easy way, fun on the beach and in the water on a very glorious day!!  And for me, there has to be watermelon somewhere in the day!!!  (Taken today at Lovers' Point in Pacific Grove, CA.   Camera used was a Kodak EasyShare Z612. The watermelon pic was also taken today,  after  slicing off the piece I used in the photo, I had to eat it, waste not want not!)

"Watermelon -- it's a good  fruit.  You eat, you drink, you wash your face."
--Enrico Caruso--

" Remember, two watermelons cannot be held under one arm. "  -- Turkish Proverb --

  8. What a great idea!! Watermelon is even better now that you can get it seedless, although half the fun was spitting seeds at each other!

  29. great shot, what a clever idea. it's reminded me of a holiday to tunisia, over 20 years ago, my husband and i used to stop off at one of the juice bars most afternoons and enjoy a glass or two of freshly squeezed orange juice. there were always watermelons on display with all the oranges. one day i just really fancied a slice of watermelon, it took a while to explain this to the man serving, his english was as weak as my french, but eventually we were presented with a slice each of watermelon and it was gorgeous, within minutes all the tables of that outdoor cafe were full, with watermelon being served to everyone.

  30. My watermelons are always filled with seeds, your's, on the other hand, is filled with a world of people. Where did it grow? Are these pod people? Or, perchance, like the old ship in a bottle trick, are these miniatures placed in the bowels of the fruit just to tickle someone's fancy?
