MAGICAL A PICTURE PERFECT THEME

So many things are magical.  For me most of them revolve around Nature, from the flight of a butterfly, a shooting star, the ever changing masterpiece of a setting sun, the birth of a foal,  rain on  a sunny day,  clouds, rainbows, even a chicken laying an egg.  This picture was taken from inside the Jean Dot Cave near the Lava Beds National Monument, Modoc County, CA. in 2006.

can be clicked on for larger view --There are more pictures of the cave in the photo album on the home page, and the original picture of the above too,  if you care to look.

When experimenting with MGI PhotoSuite for  Gary's Monochromatic Monday, I used the mirage/mirror tool and this was the result, making a magical picture more magical.  Hope you enjoy the view.

  32. Oh john.... you really choose very very good songs for your entries...
this is really magical.... i like caves too... there is this wild water rafting here in our city and there is a place there where you all have t work and paddle right to get into the cave or else you'll miss getting in there... aside from the satisfaction of getting in, the cave was realy very very lovely....

thanks by the way for visiting the magical falls... and you know when you said the edges rushed to the falls... that's the feeling i get really... you'll feel so drawn to it....

  52. Stunningly MAGICAL shot... this mer-girl held her breath at such simplistic beauty. It's true, MAGIC abounds if we actively choose to see it. Please share who the group is singing and what CD you have playing for this post...Thanks for sharing and visiting my pic too. http://rumbledoll.multiply.com/photos/album/7/A_Wet-Tails_Creations#18

  53. The group is Blackmore's Night, Ritchie Blackmore (formerly of Deep Purple) and Candice Night (they are married) started the group after meeting at Renaissance Festivals and Fairs. The song is Magical World from the album Shadows of The Moon. If you liked this you might like Steeleye Span (with Maddie Pryor) similar treatment of old english, Scottish, Irish folk songs with a modern touch, but retaining the old flavor. And cannot forget Fairport Convention with Sandy Denny, the album Lief and Liege!!! Marvelous stuff!!!
