I know many of you have had this 'stuff' already, but now I can really sympathize with you. This flu going around is just plain nasty!! Starts out simple enough, tickle in the throat, slight headache, the beginnings of aches and pains, and then it just dumps and jumps on you!! One of those flus where you are afraid you are going to die, and afraid you won't at the same time!! I basically lived in two rooms for two weeks, and one of them was the bedroom! And then, after a week plus, you begin to feel better, and the next day you are back to where you were!! Thank you for your concerns and thoughts and prayers. I am feeling much better now, but this time I am not going to say I am well. I do believe these flu germs took that as a challange, and I lost!! I did manage to lose some weight, but I do not recommend this as a weight lose program! I do hope all of you and yours stay well, would not wish this stuff on anyone!!! God bless you all. --John
"The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not." -Mark Twain.
Yeah I was out of work for 4 days and still recovering. Hope we all get to feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteI had the flu shot again this year as I have had for the past 15 or so. They are saying the strain OUT there wasn't included in the vaccine. I know how debilatating the flu can be plus it can have long term health issues that are worrisome. After you recover, research how you can be proactive in avoiding the flu in future either by getting the shot and or upgrading some nutritional aspects of your diet to improve your immune system. I take ginsing and extra B complex plus more D. If I get a tickle in my throat, I OD on vit C and ingest whole cloves of garlic (fun to be near you, herb) In the meantime, chicken/onion soup, lotion tissues and lots of TLC will make the owies seem less painful.
ReplyDeleteRemember to wash hands a lot and keep them away from your face.

ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better! This happened to me twice last winter. I sooooooo sympatize with you. I've been blessed and have managed to miss it this flu season!! Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better! I know how terrible it feels to be in bed all sick and with a high fever, though I have had no personal experience this winter. You're not contagious any more, are you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI thank goodness I had the flu shot. Six year old granddaughter had it. Grandson ended up with strep throat and mono. Things could be worse I suppose. Am very glad your feelin better.
ReplyDeleteAt the very first sign of anything like a cold or flu ~ I take 2500 mg of 100% organic fresh echinaccea extract (pill form) called EchinaMax found in Wal Mart , I take one 3 x a day for about 2 to 3 days and I haven't had a cold or the flu in two years , I have had symptoms a few times and took these pills and it was gone the next day. I also had my flu shot but that doesn't always help it depends on the strain of the virus. But I swear by these pills. Now watch me get sick lol
ReplyDeleteBut I used to be a germ magnet until I found this, a friend told me about it .
I am glad you are feeling better John cause Multiply wasn't the same without you :)
