POSITIVE ATTITUDES

Linda has a great blog on Positive Energies/Attitudes. I suggest you read it, she is listed in my friends box, holding the cutest little baby! She got me to thinking, (as most of her blogs do), about Dr. Masaru Emoto. I orginally became of aware if his research in the movie WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW.

He has written several books on his research into the effects of positive, and negative thoughts on the formation of water crystals. Fascinating. Some of his titles are:

I would recommend getting one of these books (he has more books out that are not listed) and reading it for yourself.

His main concept is called HADO. The following is taken from HADOlifeUSA:

“Hado creates words, Words are the vibrations of nature

The Japanese researcher in question is Dr. Masaru Emoto, chief of the Hado institute in Tokyo. He is the author of many books concerning the phenomenon of ' Hado'. The two ideograms comprising this expression Hado (pronounced hadou to rhyme with shadow) literally mean "wave" and "move". This following definition is how Dr. Emoto himself describes the phenomenon, which led him to a series of remarkable discoveries pertaining to the nature of water.

Hado: The intrinsic vibrational pattern at the atomic level in all matter. The smallest unit of energy. Its basis is the energy of human consciousness.

We are 70 percent water, years and years ago, I was dating a nurse, and I asked her once if there was any truth in the 'old wives tale' of the full moon making people act up. She worked in the psychiatric ward, and she said without hestitation that the patients acted up more, and there were more people admitted around the time of a full moon than any other time of month. Any other professional people out there, I would appreciate your comments.

That is where I started to wonder about the pull of the moon on us, the same as the pull on the oceans. Then when I read of Dr. Emoto's work it got my curiosity going again. I am still reading and researching, it is a fascinating journey.

FATHERS' DAY June 17, 2007

Happy Fathers' Day to the Dads, Step-Dads, and Mentors. What an awesome responsibility you have to raise your children. To be a mirror to reflect love, honor, trust, honesty, protection, duty, and so much more. Let your words mirror your actions.

And always remember, that sometimes, your children can teach you:

FLAG DAY JUNE 14th

It is Flag Day! June 14th! Fly the Flag.

Somewhere I once read that the Red color of our flag also represents the Blood that has been shed to protect this country.

And especially remember our young men and woman past, present and future who have protected this great nation with their sacrifice, time, blood, sweat, tears, and sometimes the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their lives. God bless them one and all.

TEACHING CHILDREN

A while back, Tami, creator of Frogshire, wrote a blog on teaching children not only by word, but by example. It is so true, that "actions speak louder than words". Those little eyes and ears catch so much we are not aware of, until "out of the mouths' of babes" shows us, sometimes at the worst times for us, what they have paid attention to. Sometimes it is difficult, but our talk should match our walk, and so the reverse is true. I believe there is real evil in the world, and it trys to replicate itself in what ever way it can. I also believe there is real goodness in the world. Sometimes we help that evil without even being aware we are.

Those of you who have read my blogs before know I love humor. And learned best from teachers who used humor in lessons. Here is a little cartoon that illustrates the message. Hope you enjoy it, hope it makes you laugh.

THE SCOTSMAN'S KILT

Time to lighten up a bit, get a smile on, and let out some laughs. I got to thinking about the Scots after trading mail with EvaMarieM, from of course Scotland. This is a song about a Scotsman and his Kilt. It is by a fellow by the name of Mike Cross. I heard it years ago at a local pub. That performance had instruments along with the singing. I tried to find a similar version, but all I could find is this acapella version. Hope you like it, and it brings a bit of laughter your way. Somedays we just need to loosen up.
